Lac St André: a beautiful natural space at the foot of Mont Granier

Lake Saint-André is a lake in the Alps, located in the commune of Porte de Savoie, near Chambéry, in the Savoie department. This lake is nestled at the foot of the Mount Granier, which culminates at 1933 meters above sea level, including 900 m of cliffs. The particularity of this lake is that it was formed following disturbances in the local hydrographic network, due to the collapse of a part of Mont Granier which is the largest mountain collapse in Europe, known in history. Nowadays, the Lake Saint-André is a haven of peace with turquoise waters, surrounded by vineyards, which is located on the Savoie Wine Route. This natural space classified as a Grand Site of the department of Savoie, is home to many protected birds, plants and insects. The path around the lake can only be explored on foot, making it ideal for contemplation. Segway you will be able to admire from the edges of the lake, the different points of view on the cliff of Mount Granier, the massif of Bauges and the vineyards of Apremont, Abymes and Chignin, which makes it a particularly suitable space for photography.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Our tours include a preliminary introduction of approximately 10 to 15 minutes. For your safety, all our tours are led by a certified Segway® instructor. Children from 12 years old(EPDM legislation of Decree No. 2019-1082 of October 23, 2019), accompanied by an adult. Weight: minimum 35 kg maximum 118 kg. Helmets provided free of charge. The Segway is not recommended for pregnant women or people with inner ear problems. . Photo breaks. Open all year round, accessible to beginners and people with reduced mobility (able to stand).
