A word from the team!

Discover the magic of the Chignin vineyards

Segway seminar, followed by a biodynamic wine tasting at Claude Quenard and Fils

Chignin is a small town located in the heart of the French Alps, known for its picturesque vineyards in the Bauges Regional Park in Savoie, which will be the ideal location for your seminar and team building day. It is a unique and historically important wine-growing region. Established in the 13th century, the vineyard has become renowned for its unique terroir and microclimate, which produce some of the finest wines in the world. However, wine production has evolved over time, with a growing interest in sustainable and organic farming practices. The history and culture of the Chignin vineyards have a rich history dating back to Roman times. The vineyards were originally established by monks who recognized the unique characteristics of the region's soil and climate. Today, the Chignin vineyards cover over 200 hectares and produce a variety of wines, including white, red, and rosé.The "Claude Quenard et Fils" estate has been certified organic since the 2000s. and practices dynamic organic cultivation, which emphasizes the interdependence of the wine ecosystem since 2016 (Demeter certification). Dynamic biological culture is a holistic approach to agriculture that goes beyond the absence of synthetic chemicals. It is based on the principles of biodiversity, biodynamic preparations, and lunar calendar agriculture. Biodiversity is essential to maintaining a healthy vineyard ecosystem, as it promotes natural pest control and soil fertility. Biodynamic preparations involve the use of specific plant and mineral preparations to improve soil health and plant growth. Lunar Calendar Agriculture takes into account the phases of the moon and their influence on plant growth and development. The benefits of dynamic organic cultivation go beyond the environmental sustainability.
